The L-com UDC-18GM-400-3E3 ultrasonic double sheet sensor is design for use in applications where the distinction between one or more sheets of material is a concern. Initially a problem in the printing industry, this sensor is now employed in a wide range of IoT, industrial automation, and process control applications. This cylindrical-shaped IOT double sheet sensor monitors and detects when two overlapping sheets of material, perferably paper, are detected. This cylindrical ultrasonic sensor is constructed of Ni-plated brass and features a tough industrial grade IP67 housing. This sensor has a sensing range of 20 to 60 mm and is unaffected by the color or transparency.. This M18 threaded double sheet sensor requires a power supply voltage of 18 to 30 VDC and offers quick response 3 PNP, NC outputs via a 2 m flying-lead cable.
This double sheet IOT sensor consist of two M18 threaded housings, allowing for mounting in most applications. This IOT sensor is fatory set for standard paper in the range of 20-1200g/m², but can be set to detect other materials and/or thinknesses in the plastics and metal industries as well. This sensor also visually indicates when a single sheet (green), no sheet(Yellow) and double sheets(Green) are detected. The L-com UDC-18GM-400-3E1 ultrasonic sensor also includes short circuit and overload protection. This portfolio includes lightning and surge protectors, coaxial cable assemblies, connectors, adapters, antennas, RF amplifiers and NEMA rated enclosures.
