The L-com PXSLSKIM07-0204NP is a version of a slot sensor geared specifically for label detection. The sensor operates on the principle of thru-beam or opposed mode sensing where light emitted from the transmitter is directly aimed at the receiver. A desirable choice for sensing opaque labels, this sensor features a 42 mm (about 1.65 in) slot depth and dual NPN and PNP outputs, triggered by selectable L. On/D. On switching mode.

L-com’s PXSLKIM07-0204NP label sensor has sensing distance or slot width of 2 mm which can detect opaque objects having size greater than 1.2 x 1.8 mm effectively preventing detected objects from hitting the bottom of the slots. The illuminator emits Infrared light having wavelength 940 mm and the photodetector receives light without obstruction. But, when an object passes through the slot, the light gets blocked, and the detector generates the corresponding output signal. The PXSLKIM07-0204NP label sensor is newly developed product characterized for fast response time of 10 KHz and superior anti-interference is used in manufacturing, automotive, material handling, and warehouse automation.

The label sensor has an operating DC voltage from 12 to 24 VDC. It has M8 4-pin connector which gives you the right amount of length for your project. It is made of Aluminum material and has IP65 degree of dust protection which makes it rugged and durable.
